Though <Uprising> does not condone the continued use of the Limited Attempts Mechanic in Icecrown Citadel's Heroic Mode, we appreciate the fact that Blizzard is trying to meet the raiding community halfway.
Members of <Uprising>, <Deus Vox>, <V A N Q U I S H>, <vodka>, <Ensidia>, <Premonition>, <CUTIES ONLY>, and <Blood Legion> agree that the Limited Attempts Mechanic is flawed, ineffective, or a hinderance to the ability to enjoy raiding. This is the general consensus of MMO Champion and Tankspot as well.
The Limited Attempts Mechanic inflicts cruel and unusual punishment on all raiders on the spectrum if they disconnect, if their server lags, if they don't have raid ready alts, if the bosses bug, or if their instance ID is griefed. WoW raiding is often likened to a competitive sport, but it cannot be considered competitive when the Limited Attempts Mechanic emboldens so many non-skill-related factors. These issues have existed previously, but as a result of the Limited Attempts Mechanic, they are now more noticeable than ever before.
Many of us are hesitant to purchase Cataclysm, should Limited Attempts remain. We will continue to monitor the situation, and we continue to discuss the Limited Attempts Mechanic on the official Dungeons & Raids forum.

| We got him to 16%, and then we ran out of attempts. As usual, the fight is overtuned, but it's doable in near-BIS 25-man/heroic gear. (Note that the fight was buffed a little in reaction to Ensidia's escapade.)
We'll be trying Lich King 25 later this week.

Sindragosa 10 and 25 are dead. We got World 6 for 10-man and World 3 25-man.
Yes, Sindragosa did bug for us (by not spawning), costing us about 45 minutes.[/center]
